Who this is about
Solo Desk is operated by Solo Desk, ABN [your ABN], in New South Wales, Australia. If you have a question about anything here, email [your@email].
What I collect
| When | What | Why |
|---|---|---|
| You start the self-audit | Your email address | To send you your results and the printable checklist |
| You finish the self-audit | How long you've worked independently, how many participants you support, how you feel about AI tools, roughly how long your paperwork takes, whether you'd want it faster, your score, and which sections you didn't tick | To send you a useful summary, and to understand who this is being built for |
| You join the waitlist | Your name, email, mobile number if you give one, how you'd rather be contacted, and how many participants you support | So I can tell you once when the Work-Ready Pack is ready |
| You buy something | Your name, email and order details | To deliver your purchase, register your licence, and send updates |
| You visit the site | Basic technical information such as your browser type and general location | To keep the site working |
What I don't collect
I don't take payment details. Purchases go through Payhip, which handles the transaction and holds the card information. I only see your name, email and what you bought.
How I use it
- To send you what you asked for
- To deliver purchases and updates to those purchases
- To send occasional emails about Solo Desk, which you can stop at any time
- To understand, in aggregate, who's using this and what they need
I don't sell your information, rent it, or hand it to anyone for their own marketing.
Who else sees it
A small number of services help run this. Each only gets what it needs:
- [Email provider] — stores your email address and sends you emails
- Google — waitlist entries are stored in a private Google Sheet
- Payhip — processes payments and delivers your files
- [Hosting provider] — serves the website
Some of these are located overseas, or store information overseas. By using this site you agree to your information being handled that way. I choose providers with reasonable security practices, but I can't control their systems.
Getting your information back, or removing it
You can ask me what I hold about you, ask me to correct it, or ask me to delete it. Email [your@email] and I'll respond within a reasonable time, usually a few days.
Every email I send has an unsubscribe link. One click, no hard feelings, and no follow-up asking why.
Keeping it safe
I take reasonable steps to protect what I hold, including using established providers and limiting who can access it. No system is perfectly secure, and I can't guarantee against every possibility. If something ever went seriously wrong with your information, I'd tell you, and I'd notify the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner where required.
Cookies
The site uses only what it needs to function and to understand basic traffic. It doesn't run advertising trackers. You can block cookies in your browser and the site will still work.
Children
This is a product for working adults. It isn't directed at anyone under 18 and I don't knowingly collect information from children.
If you're unhappy
Tell me first — email [your@email] and I'll try to sort it out. If you're not satisfied with how I've handled it, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
Changes
If this policy changes I'll update this page and change the date at the top. If the change is significant and I have your email address, I'll tell you.
